What made you decide to lose weight? Was there a moment or experience that "lit the fire" for you?
I had far too many health problems for being so young. The worst of all was sleep apnea. Waking up with headaches and always being tired was terrifying.
Have you tried any other weight loss plans (low fat, low calorie, or other) in the past? How did they work out?
I tried a low fat diet that was disastrous and actually resulted in more weight gain
Tell us about your weight loss experience. How did you change your diet and lifestyle? How did this affect your life (health, well-being, attitude, energy)?
I have seen massive improvements in almost all areas of my life. My cardiovascular health is far better and I am no longer pre-diabetic. My over all mental state is better and my marriage is better than ever because I'm not tired and crabby all the time.
How did Carb Manager help you stay on track? Which features did you find the most useful?
I'm a statistics man. I love how all the data is displayed. If you love graphs, you will love this app! Also I've found most apps don't track fiber properly, but Carb Manager is great at it.
What was the most difficult part of losing weight? What techniques did you use to overcome these challenges? What kept you motivated?
The hardest part is just keeping with it. I use a support group of people that want to see me succeed, they help me through the tough parts of this lifestyle. If you don't have the people in your life, there are plenty of wonderful communities online full of support. I own most of my motivation to by wife, she has been my rock and greatest supporter.
What do you see as the greatest benefits of going low carb?
There are so many things. The best has to be the amount of energy that I have now. I find myself pushing my limits to things that I wouldn't have been able to do 6 months ago
What's the best thing about being at your new weight?
Being able to bend over and tie my shoes without losing my breath.
What are your health & fitness goals going forward?
I hope to reach 220 pounds and then begin a weight lifting regiment.

Research, research, research. Understand what you are doing to you body and how your body will react if the most important. There are plenty of online resources for this.
Also, home cooking allows you to control what goes into what you eat.
